Downtown Scottsdale Condos, Lofts, Homes, and Unique Condominiums
People from all walks of life are migrating to the lofts, condos, and homes in Downtown Scottsdale.
Take Sam and Emily Fox. The Fox’s and their two young children moved to a 13th floor condo at Scottsdale Waterfront. “Our kids are totally into it,” says Sam. Their “backyard” encompasses nearby Scottsdale Fashion Square shops, Waterfront eateries, their dad’s office and his Olive & Ivy and Sauce restaurants. “They love to walk around and explore,” Fox says. It’s like raising kids in New York City without the winters, the traffic congestion, and the noise.
Or Dick and Linda Jeffries, part-time Scottsdale residents from the Fargo, N.D.-Moorhead, Minn., area. They also purchased a 2,550-square-foot unit at the Scottsdale Waterfront Residences. They previously owned a single-family home in Gainey Ranch. “We bought the condo with the idea we’d live in it and this would be an investment, No. 1,” said Dick Jeffries, a semi-retired lawyer. “In a short month and a half, our focus has changed. This is our home, No. 1.”
Bill and Sue Lennox traded in their single-family home in the Terravita master-planned community in the far reaches of North Scottsdale for a more uptown feel at Optima Camelview. “We loved living in Terravita, but we decided to do something different,” Sue Lennox said. “We especially like the green-building aspects here, like the planted green patios.”
